According to recently made public emails from Jeffrey Epstein, his former colleague said that Donald Trump “knew about the girls” who were a part of Epstein’s sex-trafficking network and that Trump “spent hours” at Epstein’s home with one of the victims. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released the letter as part of a larger document dump.
“Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop,” Epstein stated in a 2019 message. In a previous email to Ghislaine Maxwell on April 2, 2011, he wrote: “That dog that hasn’t barked is Trump … [VICTIM] spent hours with him at my place, but he has never been brought up. The White House later verified that the redacted “victim” was Virginia Giuffre, who committed suicide earlier this year.
According to House Democrats, Epstein’s estate supplied the emails, which include more than 20,000 pages of content related to the case. Although Trump’s awareness is indicated by Epstein’s texts, there is no concrete proof that Trump knew or took part in illegal activities. In response, Trump has denied any role in Epstein’s wrongdoing, and his legal team contends that the published excerpts were removed for political reasons.
The revelation has increased calls to release the whole archive of investigation-related files that are still sealed and brought the Epstein network under closer examination.
