Nalin Haley, the son of former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, issued a stark message to Republican leaders, urging them to take the struggles of Gen Z far more seriously.
Speaking openly about the economic reality facing young Americans, Haley said his generation is being crushed by soaring housing costs, stagnant wages, and an increasingly bleak job market. He noted that even college-educated young adults are finding it nearly impossible to secure stable employment or afford rent without relying on multiple roommates or family support.
Haley pointed out that the age of first-time homebuyers has climbed into the late thirties for many, calling it evidence that the American Dream is slipping further out of reach. He criticized members of Congress as being too disconnected from the economic pressures younger voters face, saying the party must “step up” if it hopes to earn their long-term support.
He warned that unless Republicans shift their focus toward affordability, opportunity, and real economic reform, they risk losing an entire generation that feels ignored and increasingly disillusioned.
