A nurse in Florida was dismissed from her job after posting a TikTok video containing vulgar and personal attacks aimed at White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who is expecting a child.

The video spread widely on social media and drew criticism for its harsh language and disparaging comments about Leavitt’s pregnancy. The nurse’s employer reviewed the post and determined that it violated professional conduct policies, particularly given the standards of behavior expected of healthcare workers.

Hospital administrators said the dismissal reflects their obligation to uphold workplace standards and protect the dignity of staff and patients alike. They noted that employees’ public social media activity can reflect on the organization and influence trust in care settings.

The case has prompted broader discussion about how professionals use social platforms and where employers draw lines between free expression and unacceptable conduct. Karoline Leavitt has not publicly addressed the incident.
