Trump Removes Controversial Post Amid GOP Criticism

President Donald Trump deleted a social media post that drew accusations of racism and prompted backlash from Republican lawmakers, the White House confirmed.

The post, which had been shared on the president’s official account, was taken down after several members of his own party expressed concern that its content was inappropriate or divisive. GOP criticism focused on the tone and language of the message, which some lawmakers said undermined party principles and could alienate key voter groups.

White House officials said Trump was not aware that the post was offensive when it was initially published, and that he agreed to remove it once the concerns were brought to his attention. They emphasized that the president did not intend to harm party unity and acknowledged the need for clearer communication.

Republicans who publicly criticized the post welcomed its removal but stopped short of demanding further action. Some said they hope future communications will focus on policy issues rather than messaging that could be misinterpreted or cause internal conflict.

The incident highlights ongoing tensions within the GOP over messaging and public image, especially on sensitive topics. Party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing their political agenda while avoiding rhetoric that could distract from legislative priorities or alienate constituents.

Trump’s decision to delete the post appears aimed at stemming internal dissent and refocusing attention on broader policy goals as the administration moves forward.
