Several protesters were arrested in Minneapolis after an anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement demonstration outside a federal building escalated into disorder, according to law enforcement officials.

Authorities said the incident occurred at a downtown federal facility where demonstrators gathered to protest immigration enforcement actions. During the protest, some individuals allegedly threw lewd objects and other items toward officers guarding the building, prompting a law-enforcement response.

Officials declared the gathering an unlawful assembly after barriers were damaged and objects were hurled at officers. Law enforcement then moved in to disperse the crowd and detain those involved in the disturbances. No serious injuries were reported, though authorities said the actions posed safety risks to officers and the public.

Police and federal officials stated that arrests were made for offenses including disorderly conduct and failure to comply with dispersal orders. Investigators are reviewing video footage and witness statements to determine whether additional charges are warranted.

The incident is part of a broader wave of protests in the city linked to federal immigration operations. Law enforcement emphasized that peaceful protest is permitted but warned that violence, vandalism, or threats against officers will result in arrest.
