Business executive Howard Lutnick said he recalls meeting Jeffrey Epstein only three times over a period of roughly 14 years, distancing himself from the late financier as scrutiny over Epstein’s network continues.
Lutnick stated that the encounters were limited and that he did not maintain a close or ongoing relationship with Epstein. He emphasized that, to the best of his memory, the meetings were brief and infrequent.
His comments come amid renewed attention on individuals who had contact with Epstein before his criminal conduct became widely known. Public figures across business and politics have faced questions about past interactions with Epstein, even in cases involving limited or incidental meetings.
Lutnick maintained that his recollection is clear that there were only three such meetings and indicated that he had no deeper association beyond those instances.
