‘A Violent Institution’: These Celebrities Are Funding The ‘Defund The Police’ Movement

As further proof that defunding the police is a really stupid idea, it turns out that Hollywood is funding the movement to do away with the police and some of them who are funding The Movement for Black Lives  are also funding a movement to close all the prisons. Why not? Without police no one will ever be sent to prison anyway.

Celebrities who are bankrolling the movements include Anna Kendrick, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Bieber, Leonardo DiCaprio, John Legend, Olivia Culpo and Rihanna. That may be okay for people who are able to hire private bodyguards but what about everyone else?

These Hollywood “celebrities” are funding the groups Color of Change, Black Lives Matter Global Network and the Movement for Black Lives.  All three groups want to defund the police. The next concerts given by Justin Bieber and Rihanna will have unarmed social workers between themselves and the maddening crowd.

    Color of Changed wrote:

“Policing is a violent institution that must end. We imagine a country where there is enough money to educate our children, care for our sick and feed those who are financially unstable. Defunding the police allows for this vision.”

Americans have the first amendment right to peacefully protest oppression and injustice. Chrissy and I will be donating to these 3 organizations which are organizing, supporting and defending those marching for justice: @Mvmnt4BlkLives @nlgnews @bailproject https://t.co/whxOPQQuTu

    From The Daily Caller

The singer Rihanna’s cosmetics company, Fenty, pledged donations to the Movement for Black Lives and Color of Change.

“In support of the black community, we will be donating funds to Colour [sic] Of Change and Movement For Black Lives,” Fenty announced in a June 2 tweet. Fenty didn’t return a request for comment through its publicist.

Talk show host Ellen Degeneres on May 31 announced donations to three left-wing organizations, including Black Lives Matter, and urged her nearly 80 million Twitter followers to do the same. DeGeneres’s publicist didn’t return repeated phone calls seeking comment.
