Because of an issue with the plane on which they were traveling, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his entourage had no choice but to spend their whole trip in India. When the incident took place, they had just returned from New Delhi, where they had been attending a conference of the Group of 20 (G20). It happened while they were getting ready to leave India.
Because the Canadian Armed Forces alerted Trudeau’s staff about the technical difficulties, their departure was delayed from Sunday night until Tuesday afternoon at the earliest at the earliest possible moment. This was the earliest feasible time. As a result of this delay, the whole of the Canadian delegation had no choice but to stay in India.
At the G20 summit, it is said that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, expressed his concerns to the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, over the anti-Indian rallies that were organized in Canada by Sikh separatists. In the month of June, protestors in Canada were given authorization to hold a parade that would feature a float depicting the assassination of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at the hands of her Sikh bodyguards. The government of Canada is responsible for granting approval in this matter.
Modi accused the protesters of instigating violence against Indian diplomats, trashing diplomatic buildings, and threatening the Indian people in Canada, including their places of worship. He also accused them of supporting secessionism. In addition to that, he accused them of vandalizing diplomatic facilities. It is not plausible that this issue added stress to a circumstance that was already difficult as a result of the technical issues with Trudeau’s jet. It is perhaps probable that this occurred.
