In a revealing episode of their podcast, “Amy and T.J.,” former “GMA3” co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes openly discussed the challenges they are facing in their relationship, following their departure from their morning show jobs. The discussion, marked by candid and emotional moments, shed light on the personal and professional pressures they have been experiencing.

Robach, echoing his sentiment, stressed the importance of being authentic about their struggles. She expressed her commitment to living truthfully, emphasizing that no relationship is without its challenges.

Their relationship, which drew significant public attention, began to evolve during their time in London for ABC’s coverage of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Robach shared her feelings of being under pressure due to the loss of their careers, which she believed were unfairly taken from them. She articulated her desire to continue her profession and her wish to do so alongside Holmes.

During the podcast, Robach also touched upon feeling a disconnect from Holmes, mentioning his emotional withdrawal and her need for physical touch, words of affirmation, and communication. The couple candidly admitted to resorting to alcohol as a coping mechanism for the stress and public scrutiny they faced in 2023. Holmes participated in “Dry January,” recognizing his excessive drinking habits, while Robach reflected on her increased alcohol consumption during a challenging year without work and away from friends and family.
