Bud Light ads are being used by a well-known beer to win back conservative fans after the company’s reputation was tarnished by its relationship with a trans activist.
In light of Anheuser-Busch’s damage-control campaign on Capitol Hill, conservative Republicans have warned their party not to fall for it.
Belgian beer company InBev has recruited a lobbying organization composed of ex-Republican Senate staffers in an effort to sway senators. Publicly endorsing transgender singer Dylan Mulvaney hurt the company’s reputation among conservatives.
Documents show that A-B retained Origin Advocacy, LLC to lobby on “general policy regarding the alcohol-beverage industry.” Emily Lynch, co-founder of Origin and lifetime Republican Party activist, will be in charge of the account.
For the Trump administration, McClean was the Republican from Texas’s main point of contact in the Commerce Department. All legislative efforts were under his watch while working for Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).
Lynch advised both Republican New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte and Democratic North Carolina Senator Virginia Foxx on political matters. She has twice been the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs’ Republican majority’s chief of staff.
Not all Republicans in Washington, DC have been persuaded by A-B that Bud Light is safe to consume, despite their best efforts.
The letter to FOX Business and the lawmakers was written by the conservative American Accountability Foundation (AAF). The lobbying organization and A-B both made proposals to Origin employees, but they were strongly discouraged from accepting them.
Jones asserts that McClean and Lynch are “making the rounds on the Hill trying to red-wash Bud Light’s disastrous decision to partner with a man pretending to be a woman and tell you that the company really does respect conservative values.”
Even more offensively, “they are even making the shamefully offensive argument that their beer can honoring transgender activists is the same as their beer can honoring WWII veterans,” Jones continued. Distributors of Anheuser-Busch products have been told to keep an eye out for limited edition cans like the Honor Flight can. It’s hilarious to think of Dylan Mulvaney as a trans activist.
FOX Business reportedly contacted both Anheuser-Busch and Origin Advocacy before making the allegations public.
As stated in a statement published by the American Farm Bureau Federation (AAF), “If Bud Light wants to earn back the confidence of conservative customers, they should apologize for disrespecting their beliefs by supporting the extreme gender agenda of the woke left.” Despite the fact that there are many well-dressed politicians, Bud Light continues to back the anti-working class mentality of the Left.
