ESPN host Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks after she recommended fans boycott Dallas Cowboys head coach Jerry Jones and NFL sponsors. ESPN is showing a strong stance on those who may risk its financial stability.
ESPN released the following statement:
Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks for a second violation of our social media guidelines. She previously acknowledged letting her colleagues and company down with an impulsive tweet. In the aftermath, all employees were reminded of how individual tweets may reflect negatively on ESPN and that such actions would have consequences. Hence this decision.
It didn’t take long but the Twitterverse to start blaming racism for the suspension either.
So ESPN suspends Jemele Hill. Now if you don’t think theres a war on African Americans in this country. You’re living under a rock.

So 45 advocates NFL protests and it’s cool, but when Jemele Hill does it, it’s a suspendible issue. I see what’s going on here.

ESPN thought it was a good idea to suspend @jemelehill on a day we celebrate the genocide of the natives of this land for combating racism

This Jemele Hill suspension is one of several recent attempts to silence and intimidate Black people who dare resist. Pay attention folks.
