Arizona City Overwhelmed By Unprocessed Migrants

In a startling revelation, it has come to light that a multitude of undocumented immigrants were released without proper processing in a border city of Arizona.

The mayor of Yuma, Arizona, Douglas Nicholls, made a surprising announcement on Friday, stating that migrants who had undergone a basic “vetting” process, but were not fully processed, would be released from detention. Consequently, hundreds of migrants were set free within the city’s boundaries. Reports indicate that a staggering total of 280 detainees were liberated from three different locations: Yuma, San Luis, and the Yuma Public Safety Training Facility, before being transported to Phoenix.

Yuma County Supervisor Jonathan Lines shed some light on the situation, explaining, “This is a decompression measure, with the federal government relying on local and state authorities to handle their responsibilities.” An expert aptly remarked, “It’s yet another instance where the Biden Administration fails to effectively address the predicament it created with its lenient border policy.”

Border Patrol has reported an unprecedented surge in the number of migrants crossing from Mexico into the United States. These releases align with the surge, as confirmed by the Border Patrol. A staggering 83,000 illegal immigrants entered the country in the span of a week, as stated by Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, who provided an eye-opening comparison, “To put this number into perspective, it’s equivalent to an entire Dallas Cowboys football stadium crossing our border within a single week.”

This extraordinary influx of border crossers coincides with the expiration of Title 42, an immigration policy implemented during the Trump administration to allow for the return of migrants due to COVID-related concerns. Many Central Americans were among the estimated 700,000 individuals waiting at the border, eagerly anticipating the policy’s termination.

Addressing the situation, Nicholls declared on Thursday that those released had indeed undergone processing, assuring the public that no criminals were among them. “Border Patrol has issued them ‘notice to appear’ papers, wherever they may reside within the country,” he clarified. “I urge our community to remain composed. We are not granting freedom to individuals with criminal records.”

Before the expiration of Title 42, the mayor, a Republican, had urged President Joe Biden to declare a national emergency along the border. The Yuma sector alone has witnessed the entry of over 114,000 individuals, including numerous unaccompanied adults, this year.

Reports suggest that, amidst the ongoing criticism of his handling of the border situation, President Biden plans to spend the weekend at his beach residence in Delaware, which is safeguarded by a wall constructed using taxpayers’ money. Meanwhile, immigration officials diligently work to address the mounting challenges posed by illegal immigration.
