Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot have been placed on administrative leave following a viral Coldplay concert video that captured the pair in an intimate moment on the venue’s kiss cam.

The footage, which spread rapidly online, showed Byron and Cabot appearing affectionate during the live event—raising immediate concerns within the organization, especially given Byron’s reported marital status and Cabot’s executive role in human resources.

Internal sources confirmed that both were temporarily removed from their duties as the company investigates the potential breach of professional conduct. The organization has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the nature of their leave or whether any policies were violated.

The video has since ignited widespread speculation and scrutiny, prompting questions about workplace relationships and executive accountability. As of now, no formal disciplinary action has been announced beyond the administrative leave.
