AUSTIN, TX - JUNE 08: Texas Governor Greg Abbott listens during a press conference at the Texas State Capitol in Austin, Texas on June 8, 2021. Abbott signed Senate bills 2 and 3 into law to reform the Electric Reliability Council of Texas and weatherize and improve the reliability of the state's power grid. Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, has been critical of President Joe Biden’s handling of the border crisis.

Abbott, voicing his discontent with the present administration, stated that President Biden should visit the southern border to see the “chaos” he has generated.

The President will be making his first trip to the border since taking office two years ago, prompting the comments from the governor of Texas.

As he put it, “Abbott said, “I think what my concept is going to do is entice even more persons to come here illegally,” referencing Biden’s criticism of the Republicans’ lack of a plan. The Republican Party does have a strategy to keep the border safe. President Biden sees border security as a minor issue. Feelings of anger and dissatisfaction are rising throughout the United States. We must hear Biden’s strategy to end illegal immigration.

President Joe Biden made some remarks after Trump accused Republicans of exacerbating the border situation and for not handling the subject “seriously enough,” Abbott took exception to them.

The governor made an analogy between Biden and Trump’s border policy and warned that Biden was “violating current federal law.”

Abbott presented data demonstrating that the number of unlawful border crossings has decreased under the Trump administration compared to the peak number of crossings during the brief tenure of President Joe Biden.

Adding that “his catch and release program is not obeying rules that force them to retain individuals who have crossed the border unlawfully,” Abbott said, “What Biden is talking out right now is not going to lessen that.” In addition, he’s going to let them go. A subsequent rise in the number of people trying to enter the country illegally is the end outcome.”

The governor of Texas has accused Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of “lying to Americans” after he made headlines last year for sending illegal immigrants to states and cities controlled by Democrats.

“They’re not fooling anybody,” Abbott said. Those gates were reportedly opened during the Biden administration. In the previous twelve months, nearly as many immigrants have crossed the border illegally as they live in Houston, Texas.

Abbott suggested that the recent steps taken by the Biden Administration on the border are taking place only because most Americans are opposed to his objectives.

There is a logic behind his recent efforts to assume leadership. Abbott stated that this was because the general populace was angry with Joe Biden for his open-border stance.

At least five million illegal aliens have crossed the southern border into the United States since Biden took office. Drug, prostitution, and fentanyl trafficking hit record highs in the United States during Biden’s tenure as President.
