A man in Texarkana, Texas, has been arrested after allegedly crashing an all-terrain vehicle into several parked Tesla vehicles in a residential neighborhood, causing significant damage. Authorities identified the suspect as 26-year-old Demarqeyun Marquize Cox, who was taken into custody at the scene.
The incident unfolded late at night in a quiet suburban area where multiple residents reported hearing loud engine revving followed by crashes. Police say Cox was operating an ATV recklessly through the neighborhood when he veered off the street and intentionally drove into a line of parked Teslas along a curb.
Surveillance footage captured the moments leading up to the collisions, showing the ATV approaching at high speed before slamming into the stationary vehicles. Several of the Teslas sustained heavy front-end and side damage.
Cox was arrested on multiple charges, including criminal mischief, reckless driving, and property damage. Authorities confirmed that no one was injured during the incident, though several vehicles were rendered inoperable due to the impact.
Witnesses stated that Cox appeared agitated before the crash and was seen circling the block on the ATV earlier that evening. Law enforcement has not released a motive but is continuing to investigate whether the attack was random or targeted.
Cox remains in custody as prosecutors prepare to file formal charges. Bond information and court dates are expected to be released in the coming days. The case has drawn local attention as residents question how an ATV was allowed to operate freely on public roads in a residential area.
