Baby Killer Gets Sentenced To Death… But Not By The System [Video]

Liam Deane was jailed for the murder of his newborn baby girl, Luna, after attacking her — all because she “was crying”.

The mother of the baby left her with Deane in July of this year to take a nap. And this sick s.o.a.b punched the baby, squeezed her body and arms, and shook her, leading to her death. Luna was taken to a nearby hospital where she died just days later.

After Luna’s mother woke up, Deane claimed she had fallen and hit her head and was having trouble breathing. This spurred the mother to call an ambulance, but by then it was too late for this young life.

“Paramedics arrived and noticed her face was badly swollen and bruised,” The Sun reported. “Luna was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where she died in intensive care on July 14, three days after the attack.”

“He said he was responsible for all of the injuries that she had suffered and he said that Luna had not settled down and he lost control.” said Michael Smith, prosecuting during Deane’s trial.

A statement on behalf of Luna’s mother was read for the court:

It stated: “Seeing Luna on life support in the hospital will last with me forever.” and continued”I can’t describe how that felt. I would not wish it upon my worst enemy.”

Deane had been given a life sentence and was told he would serve a minimum of ten years in prison. With that… Liam Deane, the baby killer awaiting his day in court, was found dead in his prison cell.

Another inmate, 28-year-old John Westland, is being charged with his murder.

Westland was flanked by two police officers and a member of court escort staff as he was brought into the dock at Leeds Magistrates’ Court this morning. He remained handcuffed throughout the brief hearing, speaking only to confirm his personal details.

Jails and prisons are ripe with stories about inmates committing acts of violence against those, especially on the inside, who would harm children in any way. I can only guess that Westland said “enough is enough” and handle it with a bit of street justice.

While I would have preferred for everything to go through the system, including his death sentence, maybe — just maybe — Little Luna’s mother can find SOME solace in this.

This guy won’t be hurting any more babies.
