On Monday night, former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama released remarks in which they publicly denounced Hamas’ ongoing attacks against Israel. More than two days after the terrorist attacks started, this condemnation was made.
Shortly after 5 o’clock, Barack Obama used the electronic medium formerly known as Twitter to voice his opinions. He wrote: “The heinous terrorist strikes on Israel and the devastating loss of innocent life should horrify and outrage all Americans. We express our condolences to the families of the deceased, ask for the release of the captives, and fully support Israel, our ally, in its fight against Hamas. We must keep working toward a fair and durable peace for Israelis and Palestinians while defending Israel’s right to self-defense against terror.”
It’s important to remember that Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a tense relationship, especially in light of Netanyahu’s 2015 address criticizing Obama’s Iran nuclear deal before the GOP-led House of Representatives.
Bill Clinton joined the discussion about sixty minutes later.
“I vehemently condemn the horrific terrorist attack carried out in Israel by Hamas and lament the needless deaths. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this violence, especially the families of Americans. The world community should come together to fight terrorism and defend Israeli democracy at this time, the 42nd president said in a statement posted on the internet.
“I urge the Israeli government and people to unite at this crucial juncture, standing with them. This is the moment to put cause ahead of politics.”

The center called on the US and its allies to firmly back Israel’s right to self-defense against these threats and to stand in solidarity with the country, its government, and its citizens.
The violence was swiftly denounced by the former president Donald Trump, who is presently running for a second term in office, in a statement that said, “These Hamas attacks are disgraceful, and Israel has every right to defend itself with overwhelming force.”
Conversely, in reaction to the escalating carnage, President Joe Biden made public observations about the situation and ordered US warships to the area.
The President made the following statement during his brief remarks on Saturday afternoon from the State Dining Room: “The United States fully denounces this horrific attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists operating out of Gaza. I communicated to Prime Minister Netanyahu our readiness to offer the Government and people of Israel any necessary help.”
Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which is mostly based in the Gaza Strip, ambushed Israeli defenses at dawn with thousands of rockets and ground assaults.
Israel’s Army Radio reports that 2,600 people are thought to have been injured and at least 900 Israelis are thought to have died in the ongoing violence.
