Because one of its members was stuck in Colombia and unable to make it back in time for the meeting, the San Francisco Reparations Committee had to postpone its scheduled meeting.

San Francisco’s reparations committee had to postpone their meeting because one of their own was photographed in Colombia, eating at a Hooters.

The liberal bastion of San Francisco has formed a committee to look at “financial compensation, community activities, and other methods to pay reparations to the descendants of slaves,” as reported by the Daily Mail (2021).

San Francisco supervisor and committee member Shamann Walton were reportedly spotted at a Hooters on Tuesday night, opting not to return from Colombia until Wednesday morning.

    According to the Postal Service,

Walton would have to fly back in on Monday if he wanted to attend the Tuesday meeting. To account for his absence, we postponed the meeting until March. A committee will provide $5 million to each qualified Bay Area citizen.

Walton, now 47 years old, shared an Instagram photo from his birthday celebration at a Hooters in Medellin with his buddies. At first, the photo and the information that Walton would not be present at the conference were published in the San Jose Mercury News.

A man with the words “Son of a b***h” emblazoned over his chest is shown in the graphic photo (Jueputa). In the essay, Walton makes it clear that the man in the photo is not him.

A statement issued by Walton’s chief of staff Natalie Gee said the billionaire missed his connection because of a delay in his flight with COPA Airlines.

He was needed at the repair meeting, and his absence forced us to put it off. Due to the enormous number of persons whose schedules would need to be accommodated, Gee warned that the process of rescheduling the conference would be time-consuming.

It’s unreasonable to presume that this will result in a payment delay. The completion and submission of all reports are due in June. Even with his best efforts, flight supervisor Walton cannot avoid the delays and cancellations, Gee said.

According to the SF Standard, “I’m startled,” said someone else on the committee. Restitution is still required for the good of the people. The Black community in this county is barely hanging on.

Since Walton put it following the group’s establishment in 2020, “The nominations of this reparations advisory committee is a historical event, as I am unaware of any other statutory body in place to prioritize injustices and construct a meaningful reparations plan in a package for black people.”

Walton has advocated for a law to make it illegal in New York to make “racist” 911 calls.

To combat “the increased occurrence of folks harassing and phoning 911 on black people and people of color conducting daily activities throughout the country,” Shamann Walton, a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, sponsored the proposal in July, as reported by Breitbart News.
