In a recent episode of a viral TikTok series, former President Barack Obama encouraged viewers to cast their ballots.

Beto O’Rourke, the Democratic contender for governor of Texas, is among the numerous Democrats utilizing TikTok to increase their voter turnout in the upcoming midterm elections.

O’Rourke has spent the last several days uploading films to his campaign website that emphasize his platform issues of gun control, Medicaid expansion, and abortion rights protection.

Many of the videos use the personal experiences of his followers to make their arguments. Several online videos showcase pro-choice ladies making their voices heard in favor of abortion. Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams appears in another video encouraging Texans to vote early to oust incumbent Republican Governor Greg Abbott.

O’Rourke’s usage of TikTok shows that he will face an uphill struggle to increase voter participation, despite the fact that many politicians utilize social media to campaign or for media purposes.

TikTok inventor Vitus Spehar and former President Barack Obama recently featured Obama in their series “Under the Desk.” Obama used the film to call for voter registration and Democratic Party support for legislation to limit carbon emissions, restrict access to firearms, and increase protections for women’s reproductive rights.

Voters who think the Republican Party is more qualified to handle the economy than the current Democrats are concerned about runaway inflation and growing crime, according to polls.

The results of early voting in Texas are terrible news for the Democrats. By Tuesday night, over 3.8 million ballots had been cast. Data analyzed by Fox News Digital shows that Republicans in the primary election presently hold a lead of approximately 500,000 votes over Democrats.
