At least three times in the past few months, Vice President Biden has turned down the opportunity to dine with various heads of state from across the world in conjunction with international events. In May, he was in Tokyo with other foreign leaders, including Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, but he skipped supper with them. And in November of 2021, when he was in Jakarta with other foreign leaders, including the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, he skipped supper with them.
Concerns have been expressed regarding Vice President Biden’s health and stamina following his choice to forgo dinner with international leaders.
