In recent months, President Joe Biden’s health concerns have intensified as he has frequently declined to dine with international leaders and made multiple gaffes in public. This has led to increased speculation about the vice president’s health.

The most recent episode was Vice President Joe Biden skipping dinner with other NATO leaders while they were in Vilnius, Lithuania, this week. He used the excuse that he had “four full days of official business” and needed to prepare for a speech that was scheduled for the following day.

At least three times in the past few months, Vice President Biden has turned down the opportunity to dine with various heads of state from across the world in conjunction with international events. In May, he was in Tokyo with other foreign leaders, including Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, but he skipped supper with them. And in November of 2021, when he was in Jakarta with other foreign leaders, including the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, he skipped supper with them.

Concerns have been expressed regarding Vice President Biden’s health and stamina following his choice to forgo dinner with international leaders. Some commentators have noticed that Joe Biden seems to be slowing down, and they have also seen that he has made a number of embarrassing gaffes in public over the past few months.

For instance, while attempting to go up the steps to board Air Force One in March of 2021, Biden tripped multiple times and injured himself. And while he was vacationing at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware the year before, he experienced a bicycle accident.

Concerns about Joe Biden’s health have been sparked, in part, by his recent comments over the supply of 155mm artillery shells to the United States military. After transferring significant quantities of these shells to Ukraine, Vice President Biden stated, in a speech that took place a month ago in Poland, that the United States was quickly running out of them. However, the administration eventually felt compelled to set the record straight, noting that the United States possesses a “robust” supply of these shells notwithstanding what the president had stated before.

Because of the pattern of instances, some people are beginning to wonder if Biden is cut out to be vice president, let alone president. On the other hand, the White House has been adamant that Vice President Biden is in good health and that he is “fully engaged” in his responsibilities.

The passage of time is the one factor that can reveal whether or not Biden’s health troubles will continue to grow. Nevertheless, the most recent events have caused many people to scratch their heads and have placed a cloud over his presidency.
