I have found a way that I can become rich quickly. I will buy Sen Jeff Flake for what he’s worth and sell him for what he thinks he’s worth. I’d be richer than Jeff Bezos.
The Senator who had to forego a re-election campaign because his approval ratings didn’t even match his shoe size and whois considering running against Trump in 2020 (Good luck with that, loser) is holding up all of Trump’s judicial appointments. The reason why might make your head explode. He is holding up all judicial nominees including 10 for the all-important appeals courts liberals have used to block anything President tries to do over tariffs and travel restrictions to Cuba. Earth shattering issues, wouldn’t you say.
But any reasonable person can see this for what it really is. It’s a bitter loser who would rather stymie the president than do what is right for the country which pretty much sums up why he didn’t run for reelection. In Arizona, the polls showed him losing to rattlesnakes in the toilet by double digits and to Dr. Kelli Ward by 26 and Ward won’t even win the Republican primary.
Roll Call first reported that Flake halted a committee vote on Georgia Supreme Court Justice Britt Grant’s nomination to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the federal appeals court based in Atlanta. CNN confirmed late Wednesday that the senator will block all appeals court nominees to prompt discussions on relations with Cuba and the president’s escalating trade war with much of the industrial world.
Flake is one of 11 Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which issues recommendations on judicial nominees before a final confirmation vote. The GOP has a one-vote majority on the panel, making Flake’s cooperation essential if Republicans wish to process candidates.
I can’t wait for Flake to ride off into the sunset and be replaced by Sen Martha McSally. I consider that the same as a Republican pick up.
