Republican congresswoman Lauren Boebert was caught on camera giving the middle finger to theatre ushers after being asked to leave a performance of the musical “Beetlejuice” in Denver. Boebert, who was attending the show with her date, was asked to leave the theatre due to her vaping, taking photos on her phone, singing loudly, and other disruptive behavior.
Surveillance footage shows Boebert and her date being escorted out of the theatre, where she made a considerable fuss, took a selfie, and angrily gestured at the staff. According to a pregnant woman who claimed to be sitting behind Boebert, the congresswoman’s disruptive behavior included vaping, singing with her hands in the air, blowing vape smoke at her, and taking repeated videos during the show.
The incident report noted that Boebert and her date received a warning about their behavior during intermission but continued to disrupt the show in the second act. Ushers eventually had to call the police to have them removed from the theatre.
Boebert, known for her outspoken and controversial actions, was attending the show with Quinn Gallagher, a local bar owner. Boebert and Gallagher have been secretly dating for several months. Gallagher, a divorced father, owns Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen, Colorado.
Boebert’s behavior during the theatre incident has drawn criticism, with some questioning her conduct as an elected representative. Boebert has had previous firearms-related issues with Capitol Police and has faced other controversies during her time in office.
In her response to the incident, Boebert downplayed her behavior and encouraged people to see the musical “Beetlejuice.” Her actions during the incident have sparked debate and discussion about her conduct as a public figure.
