Just days after the FBI conducted a raid on his home and office over a classified documents probe, former National Security Advisor John Bolton leveled fierce criticism at President Trump’s handling of Ukraine. In an op-ed, Bolton denounced the recent peace push as disorganized and premature.
He described the Alaska summit with Vladimir Putin as rushed—an attempt to manufacture a peace deal that was all but guaranteed to fail. Highlighting internal contradictions, Bolton pointed out that while Trump encouraged Ukraine to strike inside Russia, the Pentagon was simultaneously blocking their access to missile systems.
The former U.N. ambassador concluded that if such diplomatic efforts are allowed to proceed unchecked, they risk undermining true progress and prolonging the conflict rather than resolving it.
