North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows dropped two major bombs during the questioning of DOJ IG Michael Horowitz on Tuesday. Rep Meadows told Horowitz that there is growing evidence that FBI 302 forms (That’s the form agents use to summarize what happened during an interrigation, including their thoughts as well as the answers from those being questioned) in both the Clinton and Trump probes were altered to either exonerate or prosecute according to their ideology. It is widely believed that is what happened with Gen Michael Flynn.
Meadows said:
“I think the other thing that I would ask you to look into, there is growing evidence that 302s were edited and changed. Those 302s, it is suggested that they were changed to either prosecute or not prosecute individuals. And that is very troubling.”
Horowitz seemed to confirm this when he said :
“If I could just mention, we have been getting those kind of referrals and as often happens when we issue reports like this we get other information coming to us, and we are intending to follow up on that.”
The second bombshell has to do with lawyers referred to as FBI Attorney 1, FBI Attorney 2 and FBI Attorney 5. FBI Attorney 1 and FBI Attorney 5 were having an affair just like Page and Strzok were. FBI Attorney 5 was the one that posted “Viva le resistance.” The FBI has denied Horowitz permission to name #2 and either 1 or 5 claiming that they were working on counterintelligence matters. Meadows asked if FBI Attorney 2 was Kevin Clinesmith. Horowitz refused to deny or confirm this. He also brought up the name of Sally Moyer and again Horowitz didn’t answer. That’s when Meadows gave him some information that he may not have had.
“They don’t work in counterintelligence. If that’s the reason the FBI is giving, they’re giving you false information because they work for the general counsel.”
