Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville expressed strong confidence that his party will capture the presidency in 2028 and implement major judicial reforms, including expanding the Supreme Court of the United States.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Carville stated unequivocally that he believes a Democrat will take the White House, the Senate and the House in the next cycle. He added that the incoming administration would create a transition committee on court reform and push legislation to grow the Supreme Court from nine to thirteen justices.Carville acknowledged his previously miscalculated 2024 prediction but maintained his certainty about this future outcome, saying he would “bet a lot of money” on it happening. He described expansion of the court as an “intervention” he views as necessary to restore public confidence in the judicial branch.
