Local media say that the tech executive’s coworkers knew for sure that he was the victim.
It has been said that Cash App author and former Square CTO Bob Lee was killed with a knife in San Francisco.
In a statement, the San Francisco police said that a man who was 43 years old was attacked at 2:35 a.m. on Tuesday. Police officers went to the 300 block of Main Street after someone was stabbed there.
KPIX says that the medical examiner in San Francisco has not yet confirmed that Lee was the person who died, but witnesses have seen him and know for sure that he was the man who was stabbed.
Lee was taken to the hospital in a very bad way, but his wounds killed him in the end.
As of the morning of Wednesday, no one had been caught in connection with the attack. Right now, the event is still being looked into.
Lee worked in San Francisco as the senior product manager for MobileCoin.
On the MobileCoin website, his profile says that he led Google’s Android core library team and helped make “the world’s most used operating system.”
The tech tycoon not only made the famous social network Figma, but he also invested in and helped create other successful businesses like Clubhouse, Beeper, and Faire.
During the 2009 coronavirus outbreak, Lee helped the WHO with their smartphone app and oversaw the creation of a business that did home testing.
