Vanessa Trump, wife of Donald Trump Jr has been taken to a New York City hospital today after opening an envelop that contained an unknown white powder.
The letter itself was addressed to her husband and sent to their apartment East 54th Street in Manhattan.
She opened the letter at 10am and soon after she along with two others were decontaminated by firefighters at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
So far, it appears everyone will be OK. Police and Secret Service are at the scene investigating.
The Fire Department of New York said three people were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries but did not provide additional information on the nature of the injuries or the victims.
“The substance was deemed to be non-hazardous and is being transported to a lab in New York City for further analysis,” said NYPD spokesman J. Peter Donald.
