Will The Hollywood Swamp Make Victims Of The Accused?

With the revelations made against Hollywood powerhouse Harvey Weinstein the actors of Tinseltown have been coming out of the woodwork, finding courage among a crowd of their peers in calling out the Elite’s disgusting behavior.

But are they all accurate? Are they all legitimate? Couldn’t it be possible that one or two of those coming forward are seeking an extra 15 minutes of fame at the expense of the one(s) they’re accusing?

Let me stop you right there… I’m not victim blaming. But there have been at least two (that I’m going to bother on discussing here) who have denied the things they are accused of doing. So you tell me… is it possible?

Andy Dick, for example, was fired from a film he’s involved in, Raising Buchanan, after allegations came about of sexual misconduct as well as harassment. And Mr. Dick denies this.

He’s been accused of groping peoples privates, kiss/licking people, as well as sexually propositioning four people of the crew. While he says he may have kiss/licked people, he stated that it’s part of his humor and he has apologized.

Of the allegations, he stated: “I don’t grope people anymore. I don’t expose myself anymore,” said Dick. “I do understand that the temperature in the world right now is delicate.”

“I might have kissed somebody on the cheek to say goodbye and then licked them,” said Dick. “That’s my thing — I licked Carrie Fisher at a roast. It’s me being funny. I’m not trying to sexually harass people. I didn’t grab anybody’s genitals. Of course I’m going to proposition people. I’m single, depressed, lonely and trying to get a date. They can just say no, and they probably did and then I was done.”

Then we have Jeremy Piven. Ariane Bellamar, an actress, has accused Piven of gross sexual misconduct on two different occasions. Not only did HBO essentially back him in this but he flat out denied it — he didn’t even give’em an inch!

Of the allegations, he stated: “I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me. It did not happen,” said Piven in a statement Tuesday. “It takes a great deal of courage for victims to come forward with their histories, and my hope is that the allegations about me that didn’t happen, do not detract from stories that should be heard.”

Is it possible that these two guys, who have been in the Hollywood game for a long time, are not actually guilty of what they’ve been accused of?

As reported by James Barrett for The Daily Wire:

Dick suggested that one of the reasons behind his firing from the film may have been his defense of Weinstein, which “incensed” some people on the project. Dick worked with Weinstein on two films.

He also addressed the accusation that he appeared to be intoxicated, claiming he “overtook my medication and took too many Xanax and I was a bit loopy. That didn’t make me rape people.”

“I really don’t get it,” he added. “I’m always trying to be funny and trying to get a date. I still don’t have a date. I am on Tinder and I’m looking.”

Paul Ryder, Dick’s friend who appeared on the set with him, backed up his friend’s claim, saying he never saw him grope anyone.

Dick told THR that if he runs into more allegations in the future, he’ll retire from the industry, but he hopes not to have to do so because he’s working on a number of projects. He ended the conversation by promising not to “lick anyone’s face anymore.”

As reported by James Barrett for The Daily Wire:

In a series of tweets on Monday that included the hashtag “#MeToo,” Bellamar accused Piven of cornering her and grabbing her breasts and butt on two separate occasions.

“Hey @jeremypiven! ‘Member when you cornered me in your trailer on the #Entourage set? ‘Member grabbing my boobies on the without asking??” she wrote (tweets below). “‘Member when I tried to leave; you grabbed me by the ass, looked at yourself in the mirror, & said what a ‘beautiful couple’ we made? Jeremy Piven, on two occasions, cornered me & forcefully fondled my breasts & bum. Once at the mansion & once on set.”

While HBO did not directly accuse Bellamar of lying about Piven, in the network’s statement Tuesday it strongly suggested that Belllamar’s claim was groundless.
