A newly released 911 recording captures 36-year-old tech executive Caitlin Tracey urgently pleading, “please hurry,” after her husband allegedly pushed her during an incident in their Michigan home in January 2024. In the audio, Tracey reports past assaults and a theft, and can be heard in distress before the line ends as she describes being struck and falls to the floor. Police later found visible injuries, including cuts and bruises.
Her husband, Adam Beckerink—formerly a prominent Chicago tax attorney—fled the scene and was arrested on domestic abuse charges. He reportedly pressured her to downplay the assault, claiming it was an accident. Tracey had previously obtained a protective order against him in late 2023 but withdrew it before the January incident. Another reported confrontation occurred in August 2024, though details remain limited.
Tragically, on October 27, 2024, Tracey’s body was discovered in the stairwell of their South Loop condominium after falling approximately 24 stories. Her body was found “pulverized,” with one foot severed. The Cook County medical examiner labeled the cause of death as “multiple injuries due to a fall from height” and declared the manner of death “undetermined.” Beckerink, who reported her missing, was briefly detained and has not been charged in connection with her death. Meanwhile, his trial on the earlier domestic abuse allegations has been postponed multiple times.
