A single mother known as Holly has broken her silence following a violent street attack that left her unconscious during a downtown brawl. In a heartfelt video, she described suffering from PTSD, depression, and panic attacks, saying, “I should be dead,” and revealing a daily struggle with trauma months later.
The attack occurred on July 26 when the 31-year-old was struck during a chaotic mob confrontation near a nightclub while trying to protect her child. Dashcam video showed her collapse; she sustained a serious brain injury and endured hours of memory loss and disorientation afterward.
Holly credited overwhelming public support for helping maintain her faith and saving her life. A GoFundMe campaign launched on her behalf has raised more than $200,000 to cover medical care and therapy.
Local leaders and officials have pledged action, but Holly emphasized that words are not enough. She urged the city to take tangible steps to prevent similar violence, saying: “We must act now for survivors or this will never end.”
