CNN’s primetime lineup has suffered a major ratings slump, with total viewership falling below 500,000, marking a new low for the network.
Recent figures show that “The Source with Kaitlan Collins” attracted 464,000 viewers while “NewsNight with Abby Phillip” pulled in 459,000. In the key 25-54 demographic, typically favored by advertisers, no CNN primetime program managed to surpass 100,000 viewers, with “Anderson Cooper 360” leading the network at just 93,000.
The network’s performance now trails behind rivals MSNBC and Fox News, both of which continue to secure significantly larger audiences during the same time slots. CNN’s ratings woes highlight ongoing challenges as traditional cable news networks navigate shifting viewer habits and increasing competition from digital platforms.
As pressure mounts, the network faces critical questions about its future strategy to rebuild its audience and stay relevant in a fast-changing media landscape.
