On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump is expected to be detained and charged with nearly 30 crimes, according to reports. However, he will be given special treatment by the authorities.
Yahoo News’ chief investigator Michael Isikoff predicted that Trump would face 34 felony counts of falsifying company documents.
According to the news account, Trump will not be arrested, booked, or even photographed while restrained. These behaviors are typical, even for white-collar criminals.
Trump faces a maximum of 4 years in prison for each of the 34 Class E offenses he is accused of committing.
“No one goes to jail for that as a first offender,” law enforcement authorities in New York were quoted as saying in the report.
The president immediately took to Twitter to accuse Bragg of illegally disclosing the details of the case against him.
“Wow! This weak charge against me was just unlawfully LEAKED by District Attorney Bragg. It’s unfortunate that we both know the reporter personally. This calls for his immediate arrest, Trump said. Now, if he’s serious about clearing his reputation, he should do what a District Attorney should and INDICT HIMSELF. His wife, who despises Trump, should be very pleased of him because he will go down in judicial history.
Trump then claimed that Deputy Attorney General Bragg had illegally disclosed the indictment’s 33 counts. The material he stole from the Grand Jury a few days back has not changed or shocked anything. Trump is completely innocent. What an FAILURE! We demand that Bragg resign immediately!
There are currently three criminal inquiries into Trump’s conduct. One of these is a government probe into his intentions to remain in office beyond the 2020 election. One more involves a probe into allegations of interference in the 2020 election in the state of Georgia. And a third is the federal probe into his post-administration handling of U.S. government documents.
