Former Secretary of State was on Fox Business News when she decided to comment on the Kanye controversy. He’s been getting grief from John Legend who tried to school Kanye on history and got everything wrong and by Maxine Waters, who basically told Kanye to shut up. Add to that a bunch of white liberals telling Kanye how to be black.
During the interview, Condi was asked about the Kanye controversy and she said: “People should be able to express their views. Not all of us have to think politically the same way.”
“I said to people sometimes ‘I’ve been black all my life. You don’t have to tell me how to be black. So I think we need to recognize that in some ways the height of prejudice is to look at somebody and think you know what they think because of the color of their skin.”
Kanye has Democrats running scared. If he manages to convince enough of his followers that Democrats are not the friends, the November midterms will strongly resemble the Little Big Horn and Kanye is the Indians.
Do you any of you know what Custer’s last words were? I can’t understand it. They were fine at the dance last night.
Side Note: Maxine Waters had the nerve to tell him to “shut up.” Her full quote, according to Politico:
“Kanye West is a very creative young man who has presented some of the most revolutionary material in the African-American community. But we also think that sometimes Kanye West talks out of turn and perhaps sometimes he needs some assistance in helping him to formulate some of his thoughts.
We don’t think that he actually means to do harm, but we’re not sure he really understands the impact of what he’s saying, at the time that he’s saying it and how that weighs on, particularly the African American community — and for young people in general. And I think maybe he should think twice about politics, and maybe not have so much to say.”
