The irony in the statements by far left Rep Jerry Nadler is so thick you can cut it with a knife. Nadler says that Kavanaugh cannot be fair because of his animus towards the Democrats who have tried to destroy his good name and his family. Yet, if that becomes a disqualifier, all the Democrats have to do is demonize any nominee for any position and then argue they can’t be fair.
Those are the stakes on this week’s promise on the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh. If it fails, the Democrats will use the same tactics over and over again.

Nadler claimed to be particularly put off by Kavanugh’s emotional opening statement on Thursday to the Senate Judiciary Committee, where Kavanaugh called out the Democratic machinations for what they were.
“I was astonished at his rant,” Nadler said. “He’s supposed to be nonpartisan.”
Nadler groused about Kavanaugh’s “evident animus” towards Democrats. Look, any sane human being would hold “evident animus” toward a group of people trying to smear his good name for political gain. That still doesn’t mean Kavanaugh can’t be nonpartisan as a sitting Supreme Court justice.
It wasn’t just Nadler voicing his concerns. Hawaii Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono echoed similar sentiments.

Hatch got it right. If Kavanaugh should have to recuse himself, then Ginsberg must follow suit and recuse herself in all cases involving Donald Trump. Her rants weren’t precipitated by the leveling of false charges against her but by his opposition to her liberal ideology.
