Goldman said it is premature to expect an answer from Greene at this time.
On Wednesday, Republican Georgia Representative Eric Swalwell was accused of having ties to a Chinese spy by Democratic California Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. The Democrats in the House have taken covert measures to conceal this.
During the Biden administration, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas offered a proposed budget. Greene wore a shirt that said “Fund the FBI,” prompting Eric Swalwell to urge his colleagues to “raise our rhetoric.”
Greene, who goes by the name Christine Fang made popular, “Fang Fang,” claims that by 2020 it was common knowledge that Fang had connections to Swalwell and was suspected of being a Chinese spy.
That “everyone knows you slept with a Chinese agent” is “fascinating,” as Greene put it. You still have a great sense of humor.
Dan Goldman, a Democrat from New York, has asked Greene to be quiet, and he wants any record of her speaking to be erased as quickly as possible.
The assessment, Goldman claimed, was “completely incorrect.”
Mark Green, chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party and majority leader in the Senate, announced, “A motion has been made.” He may take his time and think about every keystroke.
Goldman well up the views of the stunning Georgian woman.
“No, you need to be more specific,” Green said.
An affair with a Chinese agent is alleged, Goldman added. Since she is “taking on different roles,” it is important to capture her thoughts but keep her out of the conversation moving forward.
To which Green said, “The second half of that is not a good motion.” To my surprise, her response to my predicament was, “But we will look into how to strike those words.” Just give me a little of your time.
Because Greene might have changed her mind after saying “No, I will not,” she was under no legal responsibility to carry out her threat.
Bennie Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi, filed an appeal against Greene’s suspension, claiming to be “appalled” and “embarrassed” by the ex-congressman’s remarks.
Greene’s offer was turned down, but he was nonetheless offered a meeting with Mayorkas.
Democrats in the legislature objected to Greene calling Mayorkas a “liar,” therefore her words were removed from the official transcript. The accusations state that Greene tried to end Mayorkas’ political career illegally. Greene said nothing during the whole conversation since he had nothing to contribute.
After it was discovered in a 2020 Axios investigation that Swalwell had close ties to Fang, Republican leaders called for him to resign from his position on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. The House Democrats have decided to delay today’s vote.
After the Republicans took control of the House of Representatives in January, Kevin McCarthy became the speaker of the Democratic minority. However, McCarthy lacks the power to name Swalwell to the committee.
In 2015, when reports surfaced that Fang was targeting rising politicians like Swalwell, Axios alleges federal authorities advised them to be on their guard. Many people assume that Swalwell severed all ties with Fang after this happened and was cleared of any wrongdoing.
In January, Swalwell appeared on an episode of “The View” to defend himself.
The FBI says I’m not the only one who knows something about her. The reason “she was taken away” is because Swalwell “helped and cooperated with the FBI, just as I had hoped everyone else would.”
“And Donald Trump, who would later find out about this when he was president and had the most access to classified information of anyone who walks the earth, if he could’ve embarrassed me by showing any wrongdoing, after all the names he’s called me, he would’ve,” he said.
