DeSantis Announces Biden’s Latest Publicity Stunt In Ukraine

The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, who is now on a nationwide tour that many belief is a stepping stone to a run for president in 2024, has said that the Biden administration is pouring money towards Ukraine without a clear goal in mind.

The Republican’s appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” was his first time offering detailed commentary on the conflict in Ukraine, which has been aided by the Biden administration to the tune of roughly $200 billion. President Joseph Biden was in Kyiv on a surprise visit as he spoke, showing U.S. support for the country as it approaches the one-year milestone of its war with Russia.

DeSantis has stated of the Biden administration, “They have, basically, a blank-check policy with no clear strategic purpose specified.”

While China has provided Russia with non-lethal military help in the past, DeSantis alluded to recent claims from Secretary of State Antony Blinken that suggested China may be poised to provide weapons. That comes at a time when relations between the two countries are already tense after China sent a surveillance balloon over the United States earlier this month.

DeSantis has stated that the United States should avoid engaging China in a proxy war over sensitive issues such as the borderlands or Crimea because “these things might escalate.” Therefore, I believe it’s important for them to figure out what their overarching goal is. Nevertheless, mentioning “it’s a blank check” is not sufficient.

Former U.S. Congressman Ron DeSantis, who was elected governor of Florida in 2018, acknowledged that Russia is a real security issue for NATO members but said that the country is no longer a military superpower. Russia has lost at least 100,000 soldiers in its bloody conflict with Ukraine, according to estimates from last November by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley.

He said that the country had suffered “terrible, enormous casualties,” making it clear that the military was no match for even a lesser foe. I have to believe most Russians are unhappy with the current situation. For obvious reasons, I don’t think they can discuss it publicly.

According to DeSantis, Russia’s former friend China is the true danger. China has shown its muscle on the United States in recent weeks and has also pledged to back to Russia, but it has also warned it may attack Taiwan, which it claims as part of its sovereign territory.

DeSantis has stated that he does not consider Russia to be as much of a threat to the United States as China is. “Russia has been hurt here and I don’t think that they are the same threat to our country,” he added.
