An executive order has been approved by the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, to enable rescue operations in Israel. These missions will bring trapped Floridian citizens back to their home state as well as carry supplies to allies. Because of the continuous confrontation with Hamas and the closure of key airline routes, hundreds of families from the United States, including some from the state of Florida, have been left stranded in Israel.
It is stated in the executive order that Floridians who have become stranded in Israel have not received timely assistance from the United States Embassy in Israel and have not received follow-up communication after participating in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program offered by the United States Department of State. It also underlines the fact that the Biden Administration has failed to launch any rescue or evacuation operations for Americans, including Floridians, who are stuck in the region, and has not supplied information regarding such activities to the state of Florida. This is highlighted by the fact that the Biden Administration has also failed to provide information regarding such operations to the state of Florida.
Following the issuance of the presidential order, the Florida Division of Emergency Management made the announcement that it will coordinate the free organization of charter aircraft for Floridians traveling to Israel. The purpose of this action is to make it possible for trapped American citizens to get back home.
Rep. Cory Mills (R-Florida), who was tasked with evacuating 32 stranded Americans from Israel, just accomplished this mission with flying colors and is already making preparations for a second trip to save even more American citizens. It is believed that some of the American citizens being held as hostages by Hamas as a result of this battle are among those being held by Hamas.
The goal of the rescue operations that Governor DeSantis has given the go-ahead for is to assure the safe return of Floridian citizens in the midst of the ongoing violence in Israel and the difficulties that are faced by American citizens who are attempting to leave the region.
