DeSantis Destroys Biden For Laughing At Mother: ‘Biden Doesn’t Care’

Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, lashed out at Biden over his comments on Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, whose daughter and son died of fentanyl overdoses.

“It’s horrible that I have to comfort mothers in Florida who have lost a kid because of what’s occurring at the border,” DeSantis said in Iowa on Friday. To Biden, it doesn’t matter. The woman’s mother was the target of his teasing. How so? He made fun of her even though she had recently lost two children to fentanyl overdoses.

Although DeSantis hardly mentioned Trump by name, he did criticize Biden and Democrats for their “awakened democracy” when debating the border. DeSantis joked with the Republican governor of Iowa Kim Reynolds that he and President Joe Biden may build a wall along the southern border of the United States. This goal was accomplished through his talk about the state’s recovery after Hurricane Ian.

Please, coach, just put me in. Aw, man, Joe. Let’s get down to business. And it most certainly can be done.

DeSantis also addressed a letter he wrote to President Joe Biden in which he offered to drive tennis player Novak Djokovic from the Bahamas to Miami so that he could compete in the Miami Open. Djokovic’s prospects of going are slim given that he is not a citizen and has not been inoculated.

When DeSantis said, “It’s COVID theater,” what he meant was: Science has nothing to do with it. Not in the least does this further the cause of individual liberty.

To promote what he calls “the No. 1 best-selling nonfiction book in the country,” DeSantis is presently in Iowa, the first caucus state for the 2024 Republican presidential primary.

DeSantis is unlikely to declare his campaign for president before the end of the current session of the Florida legislature in May 2023. Yet he utilized his time in Iowa to advocate for his administration’s objectives. We have a drama-free government, he said. In other words, there will be no palace intrigue at this establishment.

“We remembered that Alexander Hamilton said the most important thing for effective administration is vigor in the executive,” he said. I decided I, too, would not go along with the crowd. I haven’t bothered to look at polls while I’ve been governor.

He said that “a static evaluation of viewpoints” was not useful for a leader. Polls have little effect on a leader. They may either “create a vision, sway public opinion, and convince others to back what they are doing,” or they can do nothing.

Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, has stood behind him despite criticism from Rebecca Kiessling, whose sons Caleb, 20, and Kyler, 18, died in 2020 after taking fentanyl-laced Percocet tablets. The fentanyl that killed the Kiessling family, according to President Joe Biden, “came under the previous administration.”

It was just last week that Jean-Pierre remarked of Greene, “She is twisting what he said by alleging things that are conspiracy theories, which is why she is frequently dismissed.”
