DeSantis PAC Hits Back: Ramaswamy’s Debate Gaffe

The political action group known as “Never Back Down,” which backs the presidential ambitions of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, made a light-hearted jab at the candidate Vivek Ramaswamy by making fun of an erroneous historical assertion that Ramaswamy made at the first Republican primary debate. Under a DeSantis administration, which the governor says would promote civic awareness and constitutional education, the PAC made the implication that Ramaswamy may profit from a civics course.

During the discussion, the businessman and author Ramaswamy made an inaccurate assertion about the Constitution’s role in the victory of the American Revolution. He said, “The Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedom in human history.” That was the decisive factor in our victory in the American Revolution.

In response, the “Never Back Down” PAC turned to X, which was then known as Twitter, to correct the historical misinformation that had been presented: “The United States Constitution did not win us the American Revolution; it came years later.” There is an error in Vivek Ramaswamy’s reasoning.”

A statement made by the PAC that said, “@RonDeSantis will fix civics education in our country!” brought more attention to Governor DeSantis’ commitment to improving civics education in all parts of the country.

In point of fact, the Constitution was approved in the year 1788, although the American Revolution was technically brought to a close with the signing of the Treaty of Paris in the year 1783.

During the discussion, Ramaswamy was subjected to examination from his fellow candidates for the Republican Party, with his position on foreign policy being a matter of controversy. Nikki Haley, who served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations before she resigned in 2013, offered her assessment on Ramaswamy’s stances on contentious matters, including the crisis between Russia and Ukraine and his attitude toward Israel. Haley stated that it was clear that Ramaswamy lacked expertise in the field of international policy.

In response to Haley’s accusations, Ramaswamy stressed his aim to enhance the alliance between the United States and Israel. He also highlighted his respect for Israel’s policies on borders, crime, national identity, and defense. This was Ramaswamy’s answer to Haley’s comments.

Haley fought back and said that preserving a strong partnership with Israel was essential for American interests, particularly in the context of fighting threats from Iran. The audience’s enthusiastic response to the conversation demonstrates the dynamic character of the discussion that is taking place among the candidates for the Republican nomination.
