Devin Nunes and the Freedom Caucus sent a letter to newly confirmed AG Bill Barr, asking him to look at the appearance of Andrew Weissmann and Zainab Ahmad, who are prosecutors for Robert Mueller. The special counsel law strictly forbid anyone who is conflicted to serve as special counsel or on their staff.

Weissmann had the fake dossier before the special counsel was appointed as did Ahmad. Therefore, the Freedom caucus wants them both removed, since they are both conflicted. Weissmann also had distributed copies to the press, an obvious violation.

Rep. Devin Nunes: So Weissmann is the number two, he’s Mueller’s deputy. He was involved in the custody of the dossiers. In early 20016 he was given the dossier. He is someone, along with the other one mentioned there, both DOJ people, both on the Mueller team. They shouldn’t be involved in this investigation…

There’s clear regulations the DOJ has. You can’t be conflicted. Look did they disclose before Mueller picked them that they were involved in the custody of the dossier?… We know these two individuals were involved in the custody of important evidence, dirt from the Clinton campaign that is the basis for the entire hoax…

Nunes: These are not independent investigators. These are people who were in on it from the beginning… We also have information that Weissman was meeting with reporters. And this is part of this whole disinformation campaign…

You also had people with the Department of Justice and the FBI who were briefing reporters. What was Weissman doing talking to AP reporters? We asked those questions and never got those answers.

Maria Bartiromo: Jordan and Meadows want this information from the Attorney General by March 15th at 5 PM.
