Disney, BlackRock, Twitter, and the NBA are among the “Worst of the Woke” in 2022.

Companies like Apple and the ACLU can also be included on the “Worst of the Woke” list.

The New Tolerance Campaign (NTC) released its “Worst of the Woke” list for 2022, which included several firms and organizations like Twitter and the NBA. (Fox News broke the news first).

Fox News Digital obtained the results of a study conducted by the National Tolerance Coalition (NTC) that named the top ten most intolerant companies and organizations in the United States and the company that will be the NTC’s “Champion of Tolerance” in 2022.

Disney, the American Civil Liberties Union, BlackRock, and Twitter made the NTC’s “Worst of the Woke” lists back-to-back years.

According to Gregory T. Angelo, president of the NTC, “woke ridiculousness lurked at every corner in 2018,” as he described in an interview with Fox News Digital. According to Angelo, “the last year was filled with corporations saying one thing and doing another” across various industries and settings.

While acknowledging that “2022 was also significant for the pushback wokeism properly experienced,” he cited the following examples to support his claim: “Disney was stripped of its privileged position in Florida, Olympic viewership came in at record low, and Elon Musk took a sledgehammer to Twitter censorship following an aggressive takeover.” That this was the “year that woke up” is a frequent expression.

The partisan activism, account suspensions, and censorship on Twitter before Elon Musk became CEO came up again.

Disney is again in the news for all the wrong reasons; this time, it’s fighting the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, a liberal smear of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ parental rights in education effort. In her defamation complaint against Johnny Depp, Amber Heard included an ACLU opinion post as proof.

Despite its silence on the Chinese government’s oppression of Uyghur Muslims, BlackRock has returned to the list because of its focus on ESG in the United States.

A company official told Fox News Digital that clients have deemed BlackRock both “too progressive” and “too conservative.” “We’re not like any of those stereotypes at all. If you believe us to be a fiduciary, you may rest certain that we will prioritize your needs above our own.”

“We put our customer’s interests first and offer them the choice and performance to attain their financial objectives,” the company’s spokesperson stated. BlackRock has received $275 billion in long-term net inflows from the United States in the past year.

The National Basketball Association stood out the most (NBA). But Major League Baseball didn’t, as evidenced by the league’s decision to cancel games on Election Day; the co-owner of the Golden State Warriors claimed that “nobody cares” about the ongoing Uyghur genocide in China and the timing of the suspension of Enes Kanter Freedom for criticizing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Despite its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, tech giant Apple has reportedly worked with Chinese suppliers who employ forced labor. Apple has been accused of deliberately slowing down messaging services on iPhones because Chinese protesters were using them to communicate anonymously and evade government surveillance.

Employees were let go at American Express because of the company’s affirmative action plan, which prioritized the employment and advancement of women and people of color. NTC started the grassroots organization UnAmerican Express to protest the hiring practices of American Express.

Ilya Shapiro, a law professor at Georgetown University, was fired when he advocated that the Supreme Court justices should be chosen based on talent rather than race. An investigation by NTC uncovered that Professor Christine Fair had not been disciplined for expressing a desire for the “miserable deaths” of those who backed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Since the IOC was “gaslighting over the wellness of tennis star Peng Shuai” and hiding the Chinese government’s human rights atrocities in preparation for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the NTC has placed it on its “Worst of the Woke” list this year.

Attempts by specific school boards to infuse radical gender ideology and critical race theory into primary school curricula were among the “Worst of the Woke” in 2022.

After much backlash for publishing Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s book, Penguin Random House 2022 has been named a “Champion of Tolerance” by the National Tolerance Coalition (NTC).

A statement issued by PEN America in October said, “PEN America rejects requests for the cancellation of a planned book by Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett” to safeguard free speech.

“Large publishing firms are responsible to their readers, providing them with various voices and ideas. This might clear up some confusion about important players and events for readers, critics, historians, and journalists.” In a unique report, they did something.

Fox News Digital’s “Worst of the Woke” list for 2022 includes several companies and organizations, including BlackRock. However, only a few of them responded swiftly to requests for comment.
