A newly issued DOJ task force report outlines numerous instances where leading federal agencies are said to have exhibited bias against Christians during the Biden administration.
Key findings include allegations that aid allocations by the State Department were disproportionately restricted for Christians, alongside muted responses to attacks targeting Christian communities. In addition, Christian federal employees were reportedly disadvantaged in hiring practices, denied time off for religious observance, and pressured around LGBTQ-related policies at work.
Departments such as Defense, Labor, and the EEOC are accused of mishandling or denying requests for religious exemptions tied to COVID-19 mandates. Meanwhile, the Department of Education reportedly levied hefty fines on major Christian universities, including Liberty and Grand Canyon.
The task force also points to enforcement disparities: Christian demonstrators outside abortion clinics were prosecuted, while threats against churches and pregnancy support centers received less attention. Furthermore, an FBI memo labeling “radical-traditionalist” Catholics as potential domestic threats factored into the criticism.
The scope of these findings spans multiple agencies—including DHS, HUD, and the Treasury—suggesting a broader pattern of diminished consideration for Christian individuals and institutions across federal operations.
