Donald Trump Launches Easter Sale with “God Bless the USA” Bibles

Ahead of the Easter celebrations, former President Donald Trump has announced a unique partnership with country music star Lee Greenwood to market “God Bless the USA” Bibles, a move that has sparked considerable attention. This collaboration was unveiled on Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, where he shared his enthusiasm for the Holy Week and urged his followers to embrace the spirit of prayer.

Trump, in his post, emphasized the importance of having a Bible in every American household, declaring it his favorite book and underscoring his belief in the need for prayer to make America great again. This initiative aligns with Trump’s past actions, where Greenwood’s iconic patriotic anthem frequently served as the soundtrack at his rallies and White House events.

The “God Bless the USA” Bible is distinguished not only by its spiritual significance but also by its inclusion of foundational American documents—the United States Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and The Pledge of Allegiance—alongside a handwritten chorus of “God Bless The USA.” This addition aims to blend national pride with spiritual faith, creating a unique keepsake or gift item.

Priced at $60, the Bible features an easy-to-read large print and a slim design for a comfortable reading experience, following the trusted King James Version translation. Trump’s endorsement comes at a time when he has voiced concerns about the diminishing role of religion and Christianity in America, stating that their absence is one of the country’s biggest problems.

Despite the commercial nature of this venture, the website for the “God Bless the USA” Bible clarifies that it is non-political and unrelated to any political campaign. This clarification comes as Trump navigates a challenging financial landscape marked by legal battles and escalating legal expenses. Recently, an appeals court provided some relief by reducing a significant bond payment Trump faced due to civil fraud allegations, allowing him more leeway to manage his financial obligations.

This partnership with Greenwood and the promotion of the “God Bless the USA” Bible represent Trump’s ongoing efforts to remain connected with his base by leveraging patriotic and religious symbols. The former president has previously utilized similar strategies, including the release of a line of high-priced sneakers earlier in the year. This latest venture, timed with the Easter season, underscores Trump’s adept use of branding and merchandise to engage with and expand his support base amidst ongoing legal and political challenges.
