A Brooklyn woman is facing serious criminal charges following a high-speed crash that claimed the lives of a mother and her two daughters as they walked along a sidewalk after attending a religious service.

The driver, identified as a 32-year-old wigmaker from the Gravesend neighborhood, was behind the wheel of an Audi when the vehicle collided with another car, jumped the curb, and struck the victims. The crash killed a 35-year-old mother and her two young daughters, ages six and eight. A four-year-old son who was also with them sustained critical injuries.

Authorities confirmed that the driver’s license had been suspended prior to the crash. Records show she had accumulated over 90 traffic violations, including multiple speeding tickets in school zones, and had tens of thousands of dollars in unpaid fines. Despite her driving history, she continued to operate luxury vehicles and shared glimpses of a lavish lifestyle on social media.

In addition to the current charges—which include manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and assault—officials disclosed that the suspect had previously received a multi-million-dollar settlement from the city stemming from a separate legal matter.

Witnesses reported that the driver made disturbing statements at the scene, claiming she was overwhelmed by dark forces. She has since been placed under psychiatric observation.

City officials have described the tragedy as one of the most heartbreaking incidents in recent memory. Community members have created a memorial at the crash site, while calls for stricter enforcement against repeat traffic offenders continue to grow. The case remains under investigation as legal proceedings move forward.
