In his latest effort to express support for Ukraine in the wake of Russia’s incursion, President Joe Biden will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday.

Reports surfaced on Tuesday that President Zelensky will fly to Washington, DC, to personally push for sustained support for his nation on Capitol Hill. The president’s official itinerary remains vacant. (UPDATE: As of Wednesday at 1:00 a.m. EST, Zelensky has personally confirmed the news of his travel. As approved by the White House, there will be a news conference with Biden and Zelensky on Wednesday afternoon.

According to rumors, Ukrainian President Zelensky is scheduled to visit the White House during his stay in Washington, DC. Biden is expected to give Zelensky a warm welcome during his visit.

The president is proud of his unwavering support for Ukraine during Russia’s invasion, which he used to galvanize American friends to their cause.

In December, after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the ongoing crisis, President Joe Biden remarked, “The idea that Putin is ever going to defeat Ukraine is beyond understanding.”

Reports indicate that President Biden is anxious to reveal his decision to deliver Patriot missile systems to Ukraine to strengthen their defense against Russia, a move expected to boost American backing.

Zelensky is expected to give a speech to Congress on Wednesday night. However, the exact time and location have not been determined owing to security concerns.

The mammoth $1.7 trillion omnibus budget measure now making its way through Congress is an additional $45 billion in the military and economic aid for Ukraine.

The new funding will be added to the $66 billion that Congress has already approved for Ukraine and its defense.

After the wording of the enormous expenditure package was made public, news also emerged that funds had been allocated for a proposed Ukrainian Independence Park in Washington, DC.
