After the court reporter took Fauci’s deposition, she sneezed, and he asked that she wear a mask.

After Dr. Anthony Fauci’s deposition last week, Louisiana’s attorney general, Jeff Landry, predicted that the public would be “shocked” to learn that Fauci could not recall “some of the most important actions and discussions” as presidents Trump and Biden’s chief medical adviser during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Republican attorney general told Fox News Digital, “I think that the public is going to be startled as to how much Dr. Fauci can’t recollect some of the most crucial acts and talks that he had at the time when the epidemic was on our shores.” “It’s quite unsettling. And it raises doubts about his capacity to retain important information generally.”

On Wednesday, Fauci was examined under oath by Landry, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, and their legal teams in connection with their case against the Biden administration. They claim that high-ranking government officials collaborated with Twitter, YouTube, and Meta (the company that owns Facebook) “under the pretense of battling disinformation” to silence voices critical of the Biden administration’s stance on COVID.

The two attorneys general want to know more about the senior doctor’s alleged role in conspiring with Big Tech to limit communication regarding COVID-19, including the hypothesis that the virus spilled from a facility in Wuhan, China.

As Landry pointed out, Fauci “didn’t appear to have a huge amount of faith in his vaccination” on Wednesday when he requested that a court reporter in the room wear a mask because she had sneezed.

I was thinking, ‘Wow, here is a man who just came off the platform yesterday at the White House, telling people to get boosted, so that they can be vaccinated, so that they can prevent COVID,'” Landry added.

According to Landry, “it was incredible to witness, you know, having the young lady sit next to him for… hours, and she actually sneezed and like, he almost came out of his chair.”

Due to a court order, Landry is unable to discuss the specifics of the lengthy deposition, but the transcript will be made public at some time during the case.

What I can tell you is that this is a small piece of a much larger legal strategy that we hope will win us what will be one of the most consequential First Amendment cases in recent history,” Landry added.

American citizens “use these firms, these platforms as basically a virtual public square,” he explained, and the government is “co-opting, coercing, and cooperating” with private corporations to stifle American expression.

“At the outset of our nation’s formation, we were warned of this very possibility, which is why the First Amendment was included in the Constitution in the first place, “His words.

So, “you just it’s one of those issues where you’ve just have to keep tuned,” Landry said.

To wrap up his 50-year career, Fauci stated, “Every day for all those years, I’ve given it all that I have, and I’ve never left anything on the field” at his final White House news conference before retiring next month.

I really put forth my best effort,” Fauci explained.
