Co-host of the liberal talk shows The View Residents of East Palestine ‘voted’ for Trump’s destabilizing policies.
Co-host of “The View” Joy Behar is taking additional criticism after she appeared to condemn people in East Palestine for voting for Trump.
Pennsylvania resident Ashley Bennett, who is only a few miles from the derailment site, claimed that Trump is unfairly singled out for leftist criticism, but that the problem is not political.
During his appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Friday, Bennett emphasized that “it’s not time to play politics.”
On February 7, a hazardous train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, causing widespread damage and displacing hundreds of homes. Trump visited the area on February 7 to meet with locals, deliver aid such as water, and assess the situation. On Thursday, Pete Buttigieg, the secretary of transportation, showed up.
The Biden administration has been slow to respond to the situation, but Behar criticizes the people of East Palestine for their part in the problem.
“For the life of me, I can’t understand why they’d vote for him, given that he appointed someone with extensive links to the chemical business to head the EPA’s chemical safety division. Well, it’s the Donald Trump you voted for in that state legislative district “Said Behar to a stunned crowd.
Bennett warned Ainsley Earhardt that the matter is not yet resolved, since some residents are still displaced.
“These individuals epitomize the true spirit of the United States of America. Individuals in this group are identified by specific names. Each of their offspring is given a name. They give their animals names, “The words sprang from her mouth. I think it’s time to put politics aside and focus on getting aid to those who need it in this area.
Former “View” co-host Meghan McCain tweeted that the emotion stated by Behar was “vile,” and Earnhardt agreed, calling the statement unacceptable.
Ashley Strohmier, a co-host on “Fox & Friends First,” harshly condemned Behar, calling her remarks “beyond inappropriate.”
On Friday, she questioned, “How are they letting this happen?” How much longer they’ll allow her to get away with such offensive remarks is beyond me.
She said, “That simply shows that she feels that she is better than everyone else, especially those in the heartland, in the middle of America.”
Todd Piro said, “The left feels this way about you, America. Said simply and elegantly by Joy Behar.”
