Rep Mark Meadows, a member of the Freedom Caucus is getting tired of Deep State operative Rod Rosenstein covering up the crimes of his fellow Deep State traitors of the constitution by withholding documents that congress is legally entitled to.
Ever since Sessions wimped out and put the Deep State in charge of the DOJ it’s been the same thing. Drip drip drip. Giving the congress a few pages at a time and you know they are saving the really damaging stuff for last.
But the stakes are about to change for Rosenstein. Meadows wants to charge Rosenstein with Contempt of the House and follow that up with an impeachment vote.
Meadows said:
“Rod Rosenstein can call Michael Horowitz, who has the documents, and say just give them to Congress. If he doesn’t do that … there is a growing consensus of holding them in contempt of Congress, but it’s not enough to stop there. We have to have someone willing to do the job. If the deputy attorney general is not willing to do it and not willing to allow us to have our Constitutional Oversight Authority supported, then we’ll find someone who can.”
“I think that if he does not turn over the documents, that there are a growing number of us on Capitol Hill who believe that someone else needs to do the job. And what happens there is, Constitutionally, we have some things that we can do.”
The DOJ has already given the documents to DOJ IG Michael Horowitz but he cannot release them to the Congress unless Rosenstein orders him to. As soon as this hoax investigation by Mueller is over, I expect both Rosenstein and Sessions to be replaced with people willing to do the job they took an oath to do.
Sessions has especially been a disappointment. He could end this nonsense in a moment. Sessions only recused himself from the Russian collusion probe. The witch hunt the ever-widening probe that Mueller is on, fishing for any kind of crime committed by Trump is Sessions’ call, not Rosenstein’s.
Meadows added:
“What I’m here to tell you is I’m fed up, I’ve had enough. My good friend Jim Jordan is fed up. We are going to not only demand answers. We are going to demand action.”
“If they don’t [provide the documents], how do you get rid of Rosenstein?”
“The first area is contempt of Congress. … One of the things we have in our toolbox is impeachment.”
Now, let’s see if he backs up those words with actual deeds.
