A Republican from Minnesota said, “It was rather hard to comprehend some of the concepts” in President Joe Biden’s speech.
House Democratic Caucus Leader and Minnesota Republican Senator Tom Emmer responded to President Biden’s State of the Union address by telling Fox News Digital, “the 1970s are calling, and they’re begging for their speech back.”
President Obama “went back through 40 to 50 years of Democrat talking points,” Emmer stated.
To Emmer’s relief, “the fortunate thing for me is that Americans are a lot wiser than this administration gives them credit for,” he told Fox News Digital. He then appeared to take a shot at the president by saying that President Biden was attempting to “claim credit for things that aren’t true.”
For Emmer, it was all about “grabbing credit for a thriving economy.” Given that many Americans are already struggling to pay for necessities like food and gas, it isn’t very considerate of you.
It didn’t phase him that so many Americans are going to credit card debt. He didn’t say he was too responsible for the open border between the U.S. and Mexico.
Trump referenced fentanyl, but “he took no responsibility for the reality that because he refuses to police the border, we have 300 Americans dying every day from the pandemic of fentanyl,” Emmer said. As a result, he sought the help of the Republican Party in his efforts to secure the border.
Emmer says that “we didn’t have an issue with the southern border” two years ago, and that “people are smart” enough to understand this.
When asked who should take the blame, Emmer stated, “Joe Biden ought to shoulder responsibility for this.” Joe Biden’s talk included several sophisticated and difficult-to-understand concepts.
There are “two completely different visions for America,” the House GOP whip said of Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ response to the State of the Union, one based on “fearmongering” and “pointing the finger,” and the other on “a conservative, commonsense vision for the future that would put all Americans in a much better place.”
To put it plainly, Emmer found the president’s address from last night unimpressive.
It was reported by Emmer that President Pence was more concerned about the “$50 charges on commercial flights” than the surveillance balloon that sailed over the United States last week.
“It had done its task,” Emmer said, “but they shot it down after it concluded.” Oh, the absurdity!
Biden did bring up China, despite Emmer’s assertion that he “did not address the problems of the day.”
The Republican whip in the House had harsh words for President Biden before he made his speech on the surveillance balloon on Tuesday.
“Ha!” Rep. Emmer was asked if or whether Congress was pleased with Biden’s quick response. He responded as follows. “Not,”
When asked what Biden should have done when he found out about the balloon on February 1, Emmer said the concept that “they didn’t know what to do” or that “he entrusted the power to anyone” and “they waited until it achieved its objective throughout the United States” “ludicrous.”
Emmer argued that it is up to the American people to “hold them accountable for it.” There is no possible way that could be tolerated.
