The late financier Jeffrey Epstein’s younger brother, Mark Epstein, has recently made startling claims regarding the information his brother possessed about Donald Trump and the Clintons in 2016. According to Mark Epstein, his brother Jeffrey told him during that election year, “If I said what I know about both candidates, they’d have to cancel the election.” However, Mark Epstein refrained from providing specific details about what his brother knew concerning the presidential candidates.
Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton had ties to Jeffrey Epstein, either directly or indirectly. Flight logs reveal that Trump had flown on Epstein’s private jet on seven occasions in the 1990s, shuttling between Palm Beach, Florida, and New York, sometimes accompanied by family members. Meanwhile, while Hillary Clinton herself had no known personal interactions with Epstein, her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had a longstanding friendship with Epstein dating back to at least 1993, during his first term in office.
Bill Clinton and Epstein had visited each other multiple times over the years, with Epstein making approximately 17 visits to the White House. The two had also traveled together on Epstein’s jet to various destinations, including Europe, Asia, and Africa in 2002 and 2003. Mark Epstein revealed that his brother’s association with Clinton, particularly a philanthropic trip to Africa, had brought unwanted attention to Jeffrey.
However, it is crucial to note that Clinton is not expected to be implicated in any illegal activities in the documents related to Epstein set to be released. These documents stem from a 2015 lawsuit by Virginia Giuffre, an Epstein accuser, against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate and alleged co-conspirator. Maxwell reportedly claimed that Epstein possessed video tapes depicting both Trump and Clinton in compromising situations with women, but no such tapes have ever come to light.
Virginia Giuffre has claimed that she met Clinton on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little St. James, where Epstein committed many of his alleged crimes. Nonetheless, available flight records support Clinton’s assertion that he never visited the island.
In July 2019, after Epstein’s arrest and charges related to sex crimes involving underage girls, a spokesperson for Clinton stated that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s previous crimes or recent charges. Epstein subsequently died by suicide in his prison cell a little over a month later.
As the public eagerly awaits the release of documents related to Epstein, it remains uncertain whether Trump’s name will appear. While Trump’s documented interactions with Epstein and photographs of them socializing suggest the possibility, the content of the documents remains undisclosed. Manhattan federal Judge Loretta Preska’s ruling will result in the public identification of at least 170 individuals associated with Epstein, including known associates, co-conspirators, employees, and previously anonymous accusers.
Mark Epstein, who believes his brother was murdered after his 2019 arrest and did not commit suicide, expressed skepticism about the impact of the forthcoming files. He emphasized that his primary focus is on the circumstances of his brother’s death and not defending his actions or associations.
Requests for comment from both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton regarding these recent claims have not yet been returned.
